Job Details

STRATEGIC TASKS

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance reconciliation processes and automation.
  • Utilize SQL-driven data analysis to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to align reconciliation efforts with broader organizational goals. 

 

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct daily, monthly, and periodic reconciliations of financial transactions using SQL-based queries.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records, bank statements, and other financial data sources.
  • Generate and present reconciliation reports to management, leveraging SQL-driven insights.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation processes, including SQL scripts.
  • Assist in the implementation and enhancement of reconciliation procedures, focusing on efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in using SQL for data analysis, querying, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
  • Adaptability and openness to learning new technologies and processes.

 

SPECIFICATION/ QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a reconciliation, accounting, or finance-related role.
  • Understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Reconciliation Specialist, Certified Public Accountant) desirable.
