Job Summary
Responsible for financial reporting, tax, and regulatory reporting activities.
Job Details
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure timely weekly preparation of financial information which provides a complete and accurate picture of the Company’s financial position and performance.
- Assist with coordinating audit processes.
- Assist in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Liaison and communication with the regulatory bodies such as the FIRS, LIRS, etc. for 100% compliance at all times.
- Ensure 100% remittance of all tax and statutory obligations.
- Execution of month end procedures and processes.
- Presenting and analyzing financial trends.
- In-depth analysis of financial statements and usage of financial modelling to predict outcomes.
- Receivables & Payables Management, and Reporting.
- Carrying out reconciliation of Balance Sheet items such as cash, cash equivalents, investments, & debt for management and reporting purposes.
- Regulatory compliance: Work with the legal counsel and other parties to ensure compliance to mitigate legal risk on regulatory matters.
- Financial statement: Review, analyze, and prepare final statement for both internal and external purposes.
- Any other task as may be assigned by the line manager.
Requirements
CORE SKILLS
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
- Attention to details.
- In-depth understanding of the organization’s business.
- Good communication skills.
- Good management abilities.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant accounting tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- First degree or its equivalent in a numerate discipline.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
- 4 years relevant experience in financial management/accounting; of which at least two (2) must have been at Team Lead level.
- Professional Membership of ICAN/ACCA is an added advantage.
- MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage.
